Starting on a fishing boat in New Zealand, we've cooked with the sea ever since.

We cook the way we love to eat: Fruit & spice, fresh from the boats, simply done, and shared with the people who matter most.
Many things are complicated, somethings just dont need overcomplicating.
It all started on deck. In 2007 pre chef & 19 years old signed on as a greeny, the new hand, on a fishing boat in New Zealand. Learning the ropes at sea brought a lasting respect for the trials and tribulations involved in getting fresh seafood to shore, the crews who land it, and how much better seafood is when it's fresh off the boat.
From there, our chef travelled as a kitesurf instructor and a chef, cooking along the way and learning many different skills and techniques from many kitchens and coastlines with seafood being at the heart of almost every location. Those years chasing wind and waves shaped the way we cook today: relaxed, fresh and full of flavour.
In 2015, all those years by the sea led us to St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly to Head chef at one of the islands Pubs. In May 2017 we opened Coastal View Kitchen in Old Town, looking out over Old Town Bay. It was a small, home-cooked Seafood Restaurant where locally caught fish and vegetarian dishes were of course our offering. With it being almost impossible to advertise on the Island, we had our own coffee branded so we could get our Logo in other shops. Island life sure was funny.
After some unforgettable seasons on the island, we closed Coastal View Kitchen at the end of 2019. We brought home everything it taught us, many hard earnt lessons, which has led to where we are today.
When the pandemic closed restaurant doors across the country, and with the need to rebuild after closing we had a lightbulb moment... What other food can you enjoy at home for a dinner party that doesn't need cooking ?
In 2021 we started Lobster Box, running around holiday homes in the South West delivering our first enjoy at home Lobster Salads.
Having given more thought to our business plans we realised Lobster Box had Legs (10 to be precise) and decided to rebrand to something that felt different & fitting to who we are.
Today we hand deliver across Cornwall every Friday, drive our own London run every Thursday, and send boxes across the UK by DHL Before 12. Bringing our flavours to you, to enjoy in your own way, with ease and sea air style.
